WorldPride, the international celebration of queer people will be held in Sydney, New South Wales in 2023.
This is the first time the celebration is held in the Southern Hemisphere, and will be themed ‘Fearless’ with a focus on cultures in the Asia-Pacific region, especially those living in countries with laws and governments that prohibit and abuse those who are queer.
The festivities will coincide with the 45th anniversary of Sydney’s Mardi Gras and the 50th anniversary on Australia’s first Gay Pride Week.
